This Christmas: PEACE

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you.

Christmas is a time for joy and sharing with the people around you. It is an opportunity to bless every person that crosses your path. Celebrating the ultimate peace that Christ came to bring us. How breathtaking to go through each day seeking to bless those around you...not to have a PERFECT holiday experience... But to become a servant. To live a life of "Doulos", devoted to the interests of others. A kind of "rising to the bottom".

My heart is heavy for those who's Christmas this year will be a far cry from anything they ever expected. From the mother celebrating her baby's birthday after a year of caring for him in a hospital room, to the friend fighting cancer, to the families grieving the loss of their child. God sent HIS Son to give you peace... He has promised to be right beside you. You have not been abandoned. My prayer is for you to experience Jesus...that you will see Christmas though HIS eyes.

Standing on this mountaintop, looking just how far we've come

The Klassen Family

What a beautiful family. It was a frosty Saturday morning, and the snow was gently falling. Thanks, Shawn, Wendy, Skylar and Tanner for letting me take your family photos.

I had a wonderful time taking photos of Jessica. It was a perfect winter day...We filled our mugs with warm drinks, and ventured out in the chilly air.

I love these guys. Julie and I grew up cousins and have become close friends. It's wonderful to see the deep friendship this couple has developed after five years of marriage. They are quick to encourage and have a great heart for ministry.

These photos were taken in the same village where mine and Julie's mothers grew up.

Frost

The much forecasted snow has made it to Manitoba. I ventured out, enjoyed the crisp air and God's frosty creation. 

O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;  

You maintain my lot.  

The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;

Kaia

Kaia is an amazing two year old. She put up with our first session in the pouring rain and then a few weeks later was excited to take "more pictures" on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Thanks Drew and Londa for letting me take her photos.
