Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you.
Christmas is a time for joy and sharing with the people around you. It is an opportunity to bless every person that crosses your path. Celebrating the ultimate peace that Christ came to bring us. How breathtaking to go through each day seeking to bless those around you...not to have a PERFECT holiday experience... But to become a servant. To live a life of "Doulos", devoted to the interests of others. A kind of "rising to the bottom".
My heart is heavy for those who's Christmas this year will be a far cry from anything they ever expected. From the mother celebrating her baby's birthday after a year of caring for him in a hospital room, to the friend fighting cancer, to the families grieving the loss of their child. God sent HIS Son to give you peace... He has promised to be right beside you. You have not been abandoned. My prayer is for you to experience Jesus...that you will see Christmas though HIS eyes.
Standing on this mountaintop, looking just how far we've come
Knowing that for every step...You were with us
Kneeling on this battle ground, seeing just how much You've done
Knowing every victory is Your power in us
Scars and struggles on the way but with joy our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone...Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
Knowing that for every step...You were with us
Kneeling on this battle ground, seeing just how much You've done
Knowing every victory is Your power in us
Scars and struggles on the way but with joy our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone...Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
Every step we are breathing in Your grace
Evermore we'll be breathing out Your praise
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
Evermore we'll be breathing out Your praise
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
(Never Once-Matt Redman)
